Richard Anderson, MAI

Richard is Director of Real Estate Valuation Services and has 30 years of experience appraising a wide variety of property types. General experience includes commercial (office, industrial, and retail), agricultural, multi-family, mixed-use projects, and special purpose properties (i.e., parking garages, equestrian facilities, and theaters). He has developed specialized expertise in the valuation of land for mitigation purposes and conservation easements.  Prior to joining the Cortland Valuation Group, Richard was an Executive Managing Director for The Doré Group in San Diego. Other tenured positions were held at Colliers International, Cushman & Wakefield, and Integra Realty Resources.

Richard is a graduate of the University of Alaska, Anchorage, completing a Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in real estate. He has been a regular attendee of courses offered by the Appraisal Institute and the International Right Of Way Association (IRWA).  He is certified by the State of California as a General Real Estate Appraiser.  He received his MAI designation through the Appraisal Institute in October of 2018.
