Todd Nelson, ASA

Mr. Nelson has over twenty years of professional experience in complex consulting matters involving valuation, economic analysis, and financial analysis. Mr. Nelson consults with clients in a wide variety of industries on complex financial and accounting problems involving revenue forecasting, cost estimation, cost of capital, fraud, due diligence, and business valuation. Activities include financial modeling; financial statement analysis; market/competitor analysis; capital structure analysis; and statistical sampling.

His work has encompassed a wide range of industries, including but not limited to: pharmaceuticals, health care, medical products, software, food services, automotive, financial services, information technology, real estate, telecommunications, construction, hospitality, and advertising. He often provides guidance and assistance to business unit managers by discussing variances and resolving discrepancies through the analysis of financial reports.

Mr. Nelson’s professional experience includes industry and consultancies. His consulting expertise was honed from specialized practices, including over nine years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. He was a founder of Dispute Analytics LLC before joining Willamette Management Associates, Inc. Following Willamette, Mr. Nelson joined Econ One Research Inc. as a managing director.

Mr. Nelson is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers. In addition, Mr. Nelson continues to supplement his education with courses in valuation, financial analysis, and forensic accounting. He currently serves as President of the Washington D.C. Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers.

Mr. Nelson’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in quantitative business analysis from Penn State University, and an MBA from the University of Maryland, with a concentration in finance.
